David has over 30 years of experience in the solid waste industry. He first represented waste companies as outside counsel and was a Partner in the Greene, Schermer, Green & Tipton Law Firm. He left private law practice in 1990 and joined his client, the largest waste and recycling company in America, where he served as a Region General Counsel in Florida and Texas before becoming Vice President and General Counsel for the Company’s Southern Group, which oversaw 13 southern states and Puerto Rico business.
David then moved into operations serving as a Market Area Vice President in Florida where he managed a $400M business unit comprised of 26 operating locations, 6 landfills, multiple transfer stations and recycling facilities serving 4 million customers with over 2,500 employees and 1,000 collection vehicles. David transitioned into landfill development and acquisitions throughout the South. While in this position, David successfully permitted & expanded landfills, negotiated landfill privatizations and completed many acquisitions.
In 2012, David joined Green Group Holdings as Sr. Vice President of Development and in 2016 was promoted to President of the Company. David has led Green Group in completing multiple transactions and permitting efforts during his tenure.
In connection with the agreements entered into with Integrated Waste Solutions Group (“IWSG”) related to the 130 Environmental Park project, David was elected to the IWSG Board of Directors and continues to serve in that capacity. David remains a member of the Florida Bar Association and is a member of the Texas and Florida Legislative committees for the NWRA. David also serves as Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Board of the Town of Longboat Key, Florida where he resides. David received his B.S. and J.D. from Florida State University.
Bruce has over 30 years of accounting and business experience in the Solid Waste and Banking Industries. He is a graduate from the University of Florida’s School of Accounting.
After graduation he held positions in the Banking Industry from Internal Auditor to Assistant Controller at Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida (SBCF). At the time of his departure, Seacoast Bank had assets of over $1.0B with 17 branches servicing customers along Florida’s east coast.
In 1992 he entered the Solid Waste Industry and has held many long-term tenures with Browning Ferris Industries (BFI), Allied Waste Industries (AW), and Emerald Waste Services (EWS). His experience in the industry include positions as District Controller, Regional Analyst, Regional Controller, Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
As Regional Analyst for the Southeast Region at BFI Bruce worked directly with Management Teams in numerous bidding opportunities from individual major accounts to multimillion dollar municipal franchise contracts.
While at Emerald Waste Services he was brought in at the ground floor of a newly formed company that conducted eight acquisitions within a three-year period consolidating solid waste services in the Central Florida market and along the Florida panhandle. At the peak of EWS’s activity, annual revenues exceeded $65M and the company employed over 350 individuals.
Bruce’s analytical, operational, and technical skills provide a unique compliment to the Green Group Team.
Thad has over 30 years of experience in management and operations in the solid waste industry. In 1990, he began his career operating and remediating landfills for Browning-Ferris Industries. Thad joined Allied Waste in 1997 permitting and expanding landfills in the southeast United States. In 2006, he joined Republic Services and managed over seventy – five million dollars in annual revenue that included 4 landfills, 5 transfer stations and a large disposal contract with the city of Atlanta.
In 2009, Thad joined Green Group Holdings as a Project Manager overseeing projects in Alabama, Texas, North Dakota and Wyoming. In 2016, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations and Development. He has successfully permitted multiple projects to include site due diligence and selection, real estate acquisition, community and governmental outreach, and construction and operations management. Thad is SWANA MOLO certified and holds licenses in Texas, Alabama and Florida.
Joy has been with Green Group team since 2005 and has handled all the administrative functions in the corporate office as well as served as support for all Green Group in-house project management. She started in the position as an Executive Assistant and has since moved into her current role as Director, Corporate Administration. In this role, she directly handles all corporate matters such as client communication, record keeping, and supervising administrative staff. Her ability to improve processes and policies as well as lead long-term organizational planning have enhanced development and operations projects within Green Group.
